³⁸ Egypt was ^(A)glad when they departed,
For the ^(B)dread of them had fallen upon them.
³⁹ He spread a ^(C)cloud for a ^[a]covering,
And ^(D)fire to illumine by night.
^40 [b]They ^(E)asked, and He brought ^(F)quail,
And satisfied them with the ^[c](G)bread of heaven.
